Children's Appointment

Anson had his 6 month evalution at Children's Monday and did very well. Out of a possible 136 points, he received 134. We were there for about 3 hours and he saw a Physical Therapist and several other developmental specialists. He did so well that all upcoming appts. were cancelled until he is 16 months. He weighed 14 lbs. 12 ozs. and amazed the therapist at how mobile he was already. I guess he has places to go!

Dave and I are working CONSTANTLY on the house in Enon, Dave after work and me on my days off. It's almost ready with just a few things left to do. I have been working some over-time, so our house in U.A. is at a stand still. We have everything picked out for the kitchen, but not ordered. It's going to be a big project, but it'll be worth it. Dave bought a new lawn mower last week and he could hardly wait to try it out! We bought Dave a beautiful new desk that will be in this week, so we'll finally have his computer off the floor!!!! It's starting to come together. I can't stand clutter, so it's been a little difficult.

Anson is cutting 2 lower teeth and he's handling it very well. He's sleeping through the night to Dave's delight!! I'm hoping to be off nightshift next month, so that will be wonderful.

I'm so happy the sunshine is here and we are ready to enjoy Summer. We have a Cancer Survivor benefit June 10th at the Columbus Zoo that we're looking forward to and we are going to Destin for my birthday. My mom's going with us, so that'll be nice for her. She's due for a vacation. I can't believe it's May already!

Check-Up

Anson had his 6-month appt. on Wednesday and it went very well. He got 4 shots which made him soooo happy! He weighs 14lbs 3ozs. and is 25 inches long. He has no deficits and is trying really hard to crawl!!!???!!!! I know it will be several months until he is mobile, but it's amazing to me how quickly it creeps up on you.

Dave and I are trying to get situated at home and get our other house ready to rent. I'm trying to unpack a few boxes a day and I feel as if I'm getting no-where! We still have some painting to do and hopefully that will happen this weekend. Dave got passed over for the job in Columbus, so that was a let down. There will be other jobs.....it wasn't meant to be.

My drive to work has been a DREAM, sometimes taking me only 7 minutes to get there! I didn't know how tired I was with that drive!

Happy Easter!!!!

I love, love, love Easter. I love the meaning. I love the bunnies. I love the colors. I love the chocolate!!! I love baby chicks and the image of sunshine and dew on the grass. I love making Easter baskets and coloring eggs. It has been my favorite holiday for as long as I can remember. My mom and dad use to go all out for my brother and I and it was an all day event. We would have trails of jelly beans from our beds to our baskets and we had amazing Easter baskets. We would have breakfast and then go to my maternal grandparents house where all of the grandchildren would get another basket and lots of goodies. We went to church for a egg hunt and then had another hunt in my grandmother's back yard. If it was too cold out, we did the hunt indoors. There was lots of good food and it is one of my favorite childhood memories by far. So many people in our family are gone now: my father, his parents, my grandfather Raymond, my uncle Kenny and our great-uncle Bill. Kevin, Tony and I have our own children now and I'm hopeful that our tradition will carry on. Anson is too young to get the full affect, but we'll try! I wish everyone a Happy Easter and know that Dave, Anson and I love you all very much. We hope you have a lovely Spring that carries you through a happy, healthy year.
